I'm aware that it would be obvious to consider feedback, but when headphones are selected in the driver software, front speakers are disabled. Everything apart from that is at default settings.

The Creative software panel is setup exactly as I always do, which is easy to confirm, since the only settings I change, is turning SBX (surround and other audio enhancements) off. Obviously onboard sound is disabled in BIOS, and it has never been activated, I always disable it in BIOS while setting up the BIOS for the first time. I cannot point to a single thing I did differently than previous reinstalls, and while troubleshooting the CPU issue mentioned above, I reinstalled OS several times - so I'm very sure I did everything the same way, it was fresh in my mind. This was done using a i3 9100F I'm running until I get the other CPU replaced, and all the hardware installed onto the new motherboard is confirmed to be working properly.

I have also used it with 3 different headsets, which I still have.Д«ut because I was experiencing a lot of unrelated hardware issues recently, which turned out to be caused by a faulty i9 9900K CPU, I had bought a lot of new parts for troubleshooting.ДЄfter I returned the CPU for replacement, I decided I liked the new motherboard better than the old one (it was 2 months old, so still up-to-date), so a few days ago I installed the new motherboard and reinstalled Windows 10 ењ†4 and all the software I usually use. It has been used on a variety of motherboards, chipsets and OSes. I have had this sound card for years, and I have never before run into any kinds of issues with it.

It is worth mentioning, that no other sound cards or sound drivers were installed apart from the Creative ones, when I was made aware of the problem - except for one little thing I'll get to further down. Initially I was sure the problem had to be on my friend's computer, but I have a spare headset which comes with a seperate DAC / Amp, and that aparrently sounds just fine. When I record my microphone though, or test it with the driver software, it sounds perfectly fine to me. The problem with the sound card is that my microphone sounds echoey and like I'm talking into a tin can. I thought it would be better to provide all the details that I can, rather than people having to ask for it and potentially waste your time. I messed up connecting my headset, see my last post in this thread. Now, I guess a solution would be to buy a DAC or an external soundcard, but I'd like to know if there was a way to solve the problems and to ensure that they won't happen even with external audio (I guess not, but I'd like to be sure.).EDIT : Solved. Changing GPU only solves GPU interference, mic is unaffected. Moving PSU out of the case (it's actually on the floor now). Changing microphone, even plugging an adapter or headphones into the mic has the same noise. Every BIOS setting that could affect audio

Change Pci slot, it just changes a bit the amount of GPU interference That's a video so you can understand better what I'm saying: This interference is kinda weird because it doesn't get amplified by changing audio volume, it's constant no matter if the headphone volume is 0 or 100. For example, i start a game and the noise starts. I've been trying to understand what could be the problem for ages but it never goes away, and it also affects front connectors no matter if they are plugged into the Mb or into the soundcard.Дescription of the problem would suggest some sort of ground loop but it doesn't sound like that.Дў) GPU interference: that's unfortunately a new one, apparently my new GPU has terrible EMI shielding (and so does the soundcard unfortunately.) and every time it gets used I hear this chirping/buzzing sound in both the headphones and the microphone input (even if the 2 are not related). To remove the noise I need the noise reducion tool from soundblaster driver but then I have to turn the 'smart volume' feature and voice quality gets simply terrible. The noise is quite low at 100% mic volume and 0 boost but the microphone is just too feeble to be heard, so I need to set it at least to 20db and the noise gets terribly amplified. I was quite happy when I got it because I though it would have solved all my noise problems. I've done lots of testing and experiments to try to get rid of the noise but it just won't go away, but at least I've identified the various interferences:ДЎ) Microphone interference: I've ALWAYS had this interference on the mic input, even before I got the soundcard (that btw I didn't buy, I won it with a Soundblaster wallpaper contest) but it didn't solve with the Soundlaster. I'm having a lot of noise issues with my Soundblaster Z card, expecially after I've bought a GTX970. Hi, I'll begin saying that I'm not an audiophile but just a normal guy who wants a good audio quality.
